The evening in November was attended
by about 40 parents, representing all years of pupils. After an
introduction to the Curriculum for excellence, 4 sessions with
teachers were held. These were extremely informative and gave a
valuable insight into how people learn and what is going on in
the school.
25 parents filled in a feedback form
and their comments were very positive and nearly all parents
said they would attend similar events. Thanks again to the
teachers who did most of the work for the event. The parents
who gave their email address will be sent a monthly summary of
what is happening in Hazlehead Academy Parent Council and news
about meetings organised by the City Council Education
Department. The Parent Council is planning to assist the school
in with course choice process for current S2 pupils in February.
