An S1 pupil who joined Hazlehead's S1 from Quarryhill Primary school in the Summer, has recently won the British Under-12 Rhythmic Gymnastics title in the British championships in Stoke-on-Trent. Amy (12), started gymnastics only three years ago, firstly as a recreational class then moving up through novices and now in the potential class. Amy is in the British Squad and has been to Bulgaria as one of 7 competitors and to Spain. She is also in the Scottish Squad and her coach tips her for the 2010 Commonwealth games in Delhi, India and then for the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
