Hazlehead
pupils have a head for heights!
Climbing Club members enjoyed a session at
Summerhill rockwall on Tuesday 8th December. Two 3rd year boys and
four first year girls enjoyed receiving some top tips from our
instructor, Richard. They also enjoyed the challenge of the extra
holds to be found on the Summerhill wall; the same type of holds for
which we are raising money to put on our own wall. Total so far
raised is over £1100 with our target being £2500. A sponsored climb
has been organised for Saturday 16th January, the challenge being to
climb the equivalent of the vertical height of Ben Nevis on the
school wall: 4408 feet or 232 ascents. See Mr Webster for the
necessary forms. |
