Sponsored Climb 2010
A group of staff and pupils have been in school this weekend to raise
money for improvements to the school climbing wall. The youngsters
are being sponsored to climb the height of Ben Nevis, which equates
to 232 ascents of the school wall. Supervised by a group of staff
led by Mr Webster and including some staff climbing 'up the wall'.
the group successfully completed their ascent on schedule. Money
raised will go towards improving the school climbing wall by
providing additional handholds and more challenging routes.
Additional sponsorship would be welcomed!
The Academy has also been awarded £200
by the Cairngorm Club. Seen below are some of the club members with
Mr Webster of the Modern Languages department who leads the club and
Anne Pinches, the Cairngorm Club president who handed the cheque
over to the pupils.
